The Latino Community Festival marks its 20th year on Sunday, Aug. 9, with a free celebration at Hillsboro Ballpark, 4460 N.E. Century Blvd. Gates open at noon and the event runs until 6 p.m.
The city of Hillsboro hosts the festival, which organizers expect will draw nearly 10,000 attendees, according to the Hillsboro News-Times. The Washington County Chamber of Commerce and Unitus Community Credit Union co-present.
Attendees can expect live entertainment, cultural performances, art and food vendors, and booths from local businesses and community organizations.
A five-on-five soccer tournament with youth and adult divisions runs throughout the day.
Washington County's Hispanic population numbers roughly 118,000, about 19.3% of the county's 611,700 residents, according to USAFacts estimates.
The festival has grown alongside that community over two decades into one of the region's largest annual gatherings.
