Free live music, more than 50 vendors, and pony rides return to Bethany Village on Thursday, July 9, when the Summer Concert & Market Series opens its 2026 season with Red Light Romeos headlining from 6 to 9 p.m.

The series runs three Thursday evenings at 4720 NW Bethany Blvd. Dancehall Days plays July 23, and Collective Nation closes the season Thursday, August 6. All three concerts are free.

Intermission acts feature local youth performers: JAMS of Portland takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. and Portland Dance Center at 7:30 p.m. Family activities include mini golf ($5 per round), a bounce house ($5 per turn), and pony rides ($10 per ride), with payment at each station. ATMs are available throughout Bethany Village.

The July 9 vendor list includes Voodoo Doughnut, Golden Valley Brewery, Kona Ice, the Cedar Mill & Bethany Community Libraries booth, Washington County Sheriff's Office, and dozens of local artisans, according to the Bethany Village website. The event has run for close to two decades, per both the official site and a Travel Oregon listing.

Admission is free.

Owner Elaine Parker, a CPA and Gold-tier QuickBooks ProAdvisor, said the service responds to a recurring client question: "The numbers look great — but what do I do with them?"

Second Edition Resale, the nonprofit thrift shop at 1050 NW Saltzman Rd., reopened donations on Monday, July 7, after a three-week inventory pause that ended Sunday, July 5. All proceeds support the Cedar Mill & Bethany Community Libraries, a nonprofit library association founded in 1974.

The store is rotating summer themes including Independence Day, Beach, and Tropical, with daily markdowns and constant restocking throughout business hours. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

The Cedar Mill Farmers Market also runs Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at NW Cornell Road and NW Murray Road; SNAP/EBT is accepted with up to $20 per day matched through the Double Up Food Bucks program.

The next Bethany Village concert is Thursday, July 23, with Dancehall Days.
