A Beaverton photographer faces three counts of second-degree sexual abuse and a stalking charge after a Washington County grand jury indictment Wednesday, Oct. 28.
Abraham Daniel Lopez, 36, was arrested Oct. 20 after a woman reported to Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) deputies on Oct. 18 that Lopez had been stalking her, according to a WCSO news release. A detective from the Violent Crimes Unit led the investigation. During the case, deputies said they learned Lopez had stalked the woman over several months and subjected her to unwanted sexual contact on several occasions.
Lopez has worked throughout the Portland area as a photographer and may have met women through his work, the Sheriff's Office said. Detectives believe additional victims have yet to come forward.
The Sheriff's Office released Lopez's booking photo under Oregon House Bill 3273 (HB 3273), which allows agencies to share booking photos to identify additional criminal activity.
The charges against Lopez are allegations. He has not been convicted.
Anyone with information about Lopez is asked to contact the WCSO Investigations Division at 503-846-2500 and reference case number 50-26-14807.
