The Sylvan Highlands Neighborhood Association has two public meetings ahead for West Haven-Sylvan residents looking to get involved in neighborhood transportation and safety issues.

The group's Transportation and Safety Committee meets Tuesday, July 7 at 7 p.m. at Fire Station 16, 1715 SW Skyline Blvd. The committee has been working with District 4 Councilor Eric Zimmerman's office on safety solutions in the neighborhood, according to the association's June 9 meeting agenda.

The session is open to the public, with comments taken at the end. Residents who want to attend by Zoom should check sylvanhighlands.org for updated details.

Portland District 4 Councilor Olivia Clark will be the special guest at SHNA's next general meeting, Tuesday, August 11, at 7 p.m. at Fire Station 16. District 4 covers West Haven-Sylvan and the West Hills.

SHNA President Sally Kneuven leads the group, which holds general meetings every other month. Membership is free. Residents can sign up at sylvanhighlands.org/join.
