The Washington County Board of Commissioners holds its next regular business meeting next week at 10 a.m. at the Charles D. Cameron Public Services Building auditorium.

The meeting is hybrid. Residents can attend in person or join virtually. To sign up to testify, use the county's online form at forms.co.washington.or.us/form/public-testimony-sign-up.

Written comments are also accepted, and translation services are available upon request. The session streams live on Washington County's YouTube channel.

The county posts agendas one week before each meeting, per its posted policy.

The session comes during the CPO program's summer pause. The board voted Tuesday, January 27 to consolidate the county's 14 to 17 CPO groups into four geographic areas, one per commissioner district. Bethany, Cedar Mill, Oak Hills, and West Haven-Sylvan fall within District 2.

The restructured program is set to launch in fall 2026, according to the county's community participation page.

Board Chair Kathryn Harrington said at the January vote that the change "helps us stay committed to that value by updating one community engagement channel among the county's many channels."

With the CPO program on hold, the board's biweekly meetings remain the primary public forum where unincorporated-area residents can address commissioners on land use, transportation, housing, and county service decisions.

The board meets on the first and third Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and on the fourth Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The next regular meeting after July 21 falls on Tuesday, August 4.
