Abby's Legendary Pizza will open a dine-in restaurant inside the Raleigh Hills Fred Meyer in October.

The new parlor at 7700 Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway is expected to bring a few dozen part-time and full-time jobs to the corridor near West Haven-Sylvan and Cedar Mill. Job postings will appear at abbyscareers.com in the weeks following the Sept. 10 announcement.

The Roseburg-based chain began remodeling space at the store in August, the Beaverton Valley Times reported Thursday, Sept. 10. The parlor will be the second Abby's inside a Fred Meyer in the Portland metro, following a Hillsboro location on Southeast Tualatin Valley Highway that opened in spring 2026, the Hillsboro News-Times reported.

"The response to our Hillsboro parlor has exceeded our wildest expectations," Abby's President Mike Hudspeth said in a statement. "Working with our partners at Fred Meyer, we quickly identified Raleigh Hills as another Portland-area community where we think this concept will be a great fit."

Once open, the location will offer dine-in, takeout and delivery service, with pizzas, sides and beverages on the menu. The restaurant will feature casual, modern decor matching other recent Abby's remodels, along with a 21-and-older area equipped with Oregon Lottery video terminals. The Hillsboro parlor includes six such terminals.

Fred Meyer spokesperson Tiffany Sanders said the Kroger subsidiary and Abby's share deep roots in the region. The two companies "both have long histories of serving Northwest families, which makes this partnership especially meaningful," Sanders said in a statement. She added that the grocer wants to give customers "a convenient and delicious dining option."

Abby's was founded in 1964 in Roseburg by Albert Broughton and James Harrell. The chain marked its 62nd anniversary and operates 37 locations across the Pacific Northwest, including parlors in Hillsboro, Gresham, Oregon City, Newberg and Woodburn.

A specific grand opening date has not been set. The company said on Sept. 10 that details will be announced before the October opening.
